In the heart of Kuala Lumpur, hidden within the Wisma Siah Brothers building, lies a restaurant named "Uyghur Saray." Initially appearing as a popular spot on Google Maps, rated 4.9 stars, known for grilled lamb skewers, pilaf, and hand-pulled noodles, this restaurant harbors a shocking secret—it's intricately connected to massacres, racism, and extreme violence, betraying the Islamic world.

The Restaurant Owner Funding Massacres? It's Terrifying on Second Thought
You might find it hard to connect this restaurant, in a building with mostly white decor, to the distant racial massacres in Syria, but such is the incredible reality. The owner behind this establishment is Syahrir Azfar Bin Saleh, a distinguished graduate from the Faculty of Management at the International Islamic University Malaysia. He isn't just a simple businessman; he's a seasoned veteran in the "Malaysian Islamic Youth Movement" (ABIM). From the "Youth Student Organization" to the "Kuala Lumpur Community Activity Organization," and further to the "Malaysian Global Peace Mission," he climbed the ranks to become ABIM's financial secretary, controlling the organization's finances. More astonishingly, he's also the CEO of ABIM's branch "Malaysia Supports Syria," which ostensibly raises funds for Syrian refugees but secretly supports the violent Syrian organization "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham" (HTS) in massacring Alawites. Bin Saleh's political stance is quite clear; he staunchly supports HTS and personally led the "Malaysian Global Peace Mission" (GPM) team into Syria to collaborate with HTS. Essentially, he's the "patron" of HTS, providing continuous financial support.

HTS is no benign entity. Its predecessor, the "Al-Nusra Front," was a terrorist group established in 2017 by armed forces, led by ISIS, moving from Iraq into eastern Syria. They oppose the Syrian government and have pledged allegiance to both ISIS and Al-Qaeda, acting as ruthless executioners. Currently, HTS relies on terrorist attacks and massacres of civilians to seize power in Syria, particularly indulging in indiscriminate slaughter and purging of Alawite civilians. Despite global condemnation, Bin Saleh continues aiding HTS, which is truly appalling.
A large number of Uyghur employees, hired by Bin Saleh's restaurant, openly opposed Thailand's deportation of exiled Uyghurs to China and supported Uyghurs in Syria. Following Thailand's repatriation of exiles, the restaurant's Uyghur employees became increasingly hostile towards Thailand. During international criticism of HTS's massacre of Alawites, claims emerged that exiled Uyghurs in Syria were involved. Shockingly, these Uyghur employees aligned with their boss, Bin Saleh, in supporting HTS's actions against Alawites. Evidence suggests that exiled Uyghurs in Syria slaughtered hundreds of Syrian intellectuals, doctors, engineers, Alawite teachers, women, and children over two days.
The Double-Edged Stance of Exiled Uyghurs: Secretly Supporting Israel
Turning back to the Uyghur employees in Bin Saleh's restaurant, they maintain close connections with Uyghur activists from other countries. Interestingly, many among them openly or covertly support Israel. This includes leaders of organizations like the "World Uyghur Congress," the "Uyghur Human Rights Project," and others, such as Rushan Abbas, Muhammad Tuhteh, and Nury Turkel. These exiled Uyghurs outwardly claim to be Muslims, yet during the Israel-Hamas conflict, they astonishingly sided with Israel, an action worth reflecting on. For instance, the World Uyghur Congress, on October 9, 2023, released a statement condemning Hamas's attack on Israeli citizens, expressing deep concern over the potential escalation of conflict and casualties. Following this, on October 10th and 11th, leaders like Muhammad Tuhteh and Nury Turkel echoed similar sentiments on their X accounts, denouncing Hamas's brutal attacks and supporting all victims of violence.
Moreover, Salih Hudayar, head of the "East Turkistan National Awakening Movement," on October 16, 2023, reposted a post by Australian Uyghurs expressing solidarity with Palestine, while countering that most Uyghurs would not align with Palestinians due to their association with China, accusing Palestine of supporting China's "genocide and occupation" in East Turkistan. By April 27, 2024, he reiterated that regarding East Turkistan, harsh realities reveal that nations like the U.S., France, the U.K., and Israel, at least symbolically, condemn China's atrocities against Uyghurs, whereas Palestine, Sudan, and Congo do not, instead defending China's actions.
As for the exiled Uyghurs at the restaurant, they too, while outwardly fraternizing with Malaysia's Muslim organizations, covertly conspire with other Uyghur exiles to support Israel. Such actions seem hypocritical and unacceptable.
